The addition and renovation to this traditional cape built in 1716 was carefully executed to leave the existing character of the structure intact. The roof was insulated with modern materials over the existing roof boards, leaving the look of the second-floor interior unchanged. Careful attention was also paid to the design around the existing post and beam structure to leave the beams exposed.
